Yoga offers a wide range of health benefits from stress reduction and increased flexibility, muscle tone and balance to improved posture and coordination. Yoga combines physical postures (asana) with conscious breathing and focused attention.
Ongoing private or group classes consisting of standing poses for flexibility, strength and stamina. Seated poses for a healthy back, poise and reflection. Inverted poses to soothe body and mind. Attention and instruction is given on details of alignment and form. Every class ends with gentle guidance into breath awareness and deep relaxation. Private Sessions These are specially

Poses can be taught for sports
conditioning or injury rehabilitation,

(Single drop-in $12.00) Gentle Yoga Experience the revitalizing power of yoga whatever your current fitness level. The class will use chairs, cushions, blocks and straps to facilitate movement into a variety of poses that will rebalance the body and calm the mind. 60 minute class. Yoga Flow Learn to link different postures together for a creative home practice suitable for all levels. 60 minute class. Yoga Basics For new and continuing students. Practice yoga poses to build balance, flexibility, coordination and a calmness of mind. Attention is given to individual alignment and assistance is given when necessary. 60 minute class. Yoga Breath & Meditation This class will explore a variety of techniques of breath awareness to establish smoother, more relaxed breathing. This helps clear the mind and relax the body. The class will address any questions that the student has on beginning or maintaining meditation practice. 60 minute class. Yoga II Prior yoga experience is needed. Continuing work on alignment, breath and balance, comprised of standing poses, seated spinal twists, backbends and inverted postures such as the shoulderstand. 90 minute class. Feet are bare. No loose fitting clothes, since instructions on alignment and form are facilitated by observing knees and other joints. No dangling jewelry or strong perfume. Yoga is a practical science and an art that is best experienced with an open mind and an empty stomach. With over 16 years of studying and practicing the art and science of yoga, I have been leading group and private classes for the past nine years in Omaha. Traveling each year to study with senior teachers, my goal is to skillfully lead the student through poses and breath awareness. The ancient yogis said that the body was in the past, the mind in the future and only the breath is in the present moment. Mindfulness means being fully present and open to the present moment. It is there that the individual can begin to experience the truth of clear mind, open heart and strong, supple and relaxed body.
